Live In Home Care

Nationwide Live-In Home Care

A Positive Alternative To Nursing Home Care. Home, there is nothing like staying at home for real comfort. There is no place like it, where we all feel comfortable and in control. A place, where our routine stays the same. Enjoy our meals when we're hungry and sleep when we're tired.

Staying at home is what most people want. The familiarity of our own surroundings, with our own personal comforts, our family, neighbours and friends. Our pets, plants and everything that makes our home so special.

There is a positive alternative to nursing home care. Care for Me Live In Homecare can make people's desire to remain at home a reality.

A lifetime of memories, wrapped up with your dreams, were friendships your guest and your mind is at peace.

Care for Me Homecare now offer full-time live-in homecare 365 days a year. Our live-in care plans are designed around the client and their home. We believe this can be a more cost-effective and better solution than clients trying to adapt to a nursing home environment and routine.

Receiving care at home also reduces the risk of coming into contact with hospital and nursing home based infections, which have significantly increased over the last number of years.

Our specialized Carer's have a person-centred approach to care when needed, but understand the subtle differences with live-in care and maintain a low key presence when the clients want their privacy.

We always introduce 2 care assistants to our clients to ensure continuity of care. The Carer's primary role is to assist our clients with a level of care that is determined by the client and their families in conjunction with our Care Manager as well as Public Health Nurse or G.P where needed.

Our live-in services would not be possible without the dedication and commitment of our carers. They are carefully selected because of their passion and desire to care for, interact with and listen to others needs. In fact, many of our live-in carers have experience caring for their own loved ones and friends.

Care for Me is committed to delivering the highest standard of live-in care. Therefore all our live-in carers are continuously trained to the highest standards and best practice guidelines. All our carers have undergone Garda Vetting, background and reference checks. They also completed Level 5 Fetac Certification.

In addition to this, our experienced carers are fully insured and must complete Care for Me in-house training. Our training modules have been designed to prepare carers in all levels of client care. These modules include:

  • Client Confidentiality
  • Infection Control
  • Communication
  • Personal Care
  • Dignity and Respect
  • Manual & Patient Handling

In addition to Personal Care which includes Bathing & Showering, Oral Mouth Care, Dressing, Assisted Reminder for Medication, Doctor Appointments, Assisted Hospital Visits, Pharmacy Collections, Social Outings, Grocery Shopping, Toileting including Continence Care, Bowel Charts, Liquid Charts.

The Carer's will also carry out Meal Preparation, Vacuuming, Laundry, Sweeping Floors, Washing Floors, Bed Making / Changing, Toilet Cleaning, Dusting, All Light Household Duties.

Care for Me live-in care also enables our client's to interact in recreational activities such as book reading, chess, cards, scrabble etc, as well as trips to the shops, library and church.

We really do help our clients maintain their ability to stay at home and enjoy their lives in their own comfort and familiarity. We are aware that every client, family and situation is different. That's why we design personalised care plans to suit your needs and level of care.

When you are considering care at home it is important to us that you have all the information that you require so you can make an informed decision. Our Person Centred approach to the individual means we are providing assistance when necessary and support when needed.

One of the advantages of live-in care is the reassurance of a carer being there at hand, for example, if Mum or Dad needs to use the bathroom, or assisted reminders for medication. It takes all the pressure off the Family or Spouse.

Another benefit is the Carer's assistance with getting showered and dressed in the morning, which can sometimes be challenging for families, and preparation of the clients breakfast right through to the clients bedtime routine and making sure they are comfortable.

Other advantages of live-in care include the Carer is on hand to look after and exercise, where feasible the families pets, water plants, gardening and accommodate visits to neighbours or friends.

We would be delighted to assist you and your family to make an informed decision on whether or not this type of package will suit you.
